01The project

Meilahn Farms is the final one hundred and twenty acres of the farm where Derrick Grahn’s mother was born, acquired back into the family in 2024 and announced alongside Smith Butte Ranch.

His grandfather, Nelson Meilahn, founded The Oaks Farm Dairy here: the area’s first vertically integrated dairy operation. Herd, plant, bottling, trucks, route. The firm’s whole operating model, two generations early.

The plan keeps the land at the centre: bespoke cabins, walking paths and wellness amenities, with the restored 1950s dairy quonset serving as the events venue.
